Concepts are represented in semantic networks by nodes, where the node label indicates the concept name. Statements about a concept are represented by edge connections with other nodes. In this way, statements about the properties of a concept can be made (cf. Fig.23).

A property is represented by a node, while the label of the edge connecting a concept node to such a property node indicates the property class. In a logic-based representation, corresponding terms would be provided for the nodes in a semantic net, while the edges would correspond to predicates.
