Here we clarify how Valueflows/REA can be applied as an operational means of managing a **commons of pattern-descriptions**, and how wiki tools can facilitate the deploying and producing of pattern language, in making the living economy.
Patterns are conceptualisations of a quite rigorous and specific kind, formulated to distill practical insight and - in conjunction, as a 'storytelling' language system - to enable the production of the design of a ‘weave’ of more profoundly valuable practices of production.
Patterns live in the community as **capabilities** (labour power, capacities for visioning and organising) and also as **media**: documented pattern descriptions. In their aspect as both media and as labour-power, patterns need to be managed, to be curated, stewarded and mobilised.
The REA language of Valueflows can be applied to this task: of **production of patterns**, and the **production of designs** through mobilising patterns. Here we clarify how Valueflows/REA does this, and how the working of a valueflows network of open-value production of patterns can be implemented in a set of **wiki tools**: plugins or server-side.
- Pattern descriptions as a **media commons** - managing a media commons using REA and wiki pages - Pattern literacy as a **commons of labour power** - stewarding the capability commons using REA and wiki means
Using REA and wiki means to facilitate making the living economy, through designing of . . - forces of production (composed of **Resources** - material landscape §1) - work-practice (of **Agents**) - formacion (cultural landscape §2) - dual power (as series of **Events**); and - evolution of care (as series of **Events**) (aesthetic landscape §3).
**Note** Pedagogy - is tacit in the above. Make it clear. Pedagogy - Formacion through pattern language
