Joshua found that he entered into this journey with a set of assumptions about the workings of CoffeeScript, JavaScript and pluginloading.
As he progressed, he found several of these assumptions and expectations were incorrect, forcing him to let go of his sense of "expertise". He was forced to retreat to "first principles" in order to let the system teach him how it works in a way that might illuminate a path forward.
He found that by breaking up his work sessions with time for reflection was important, particularly when he found himself getting stuck.
