is a new project by the Wikimedia Foundation – the first in seven years. It aims to create a crowd sourced constrained language that is able to generate (compile to) any of the languages offered by Wikipedia.
As a secondary effect the project will create a novel crowd-sourced library of functions – which can be hosted in many ways (including Wikimedia servers) - with code written in JavaScript, C++ and wasm.
This initiative looks like a perfect fit for the Legal Commons project, and for Platform Earth microservices. On this page we explore the overlap in approaches.
