Systems of categories play several roles in a patten language. It might be that each of these calls for its own response in visualisation tooling. Initially, two levels of categorisation can be identified.
Additionally, in a system of patterns there might be dual or plural families of categories, contituting a polyvalent, multi-perspective or 'pluriversal' weave rather than a single (universal) framing. This seems realistic; the days of universalisms are gone.
