We need each other.
Some of our greatest insights have come from moments of divergence and some from moments of convergence. There is a sense that whether we are physically or mentally aware of the people around us, moments of creativity are inspired by them. It is through our collective experience that we are able to have our most creative ideas.
When we are embarking on the DiG learning journey, we are reminded that the experience will be unique; unlike any PD that we might have experienced before. One of the elements of this uniqueness is how we cultivate the conditions for each of us to learn from each other. How there are opportunities for Triple Sparks.
These moments in which we share experiences, ideas and concepts that are new to us allows for others to have their thinking provoked and introduce new ideas. These new ideas, the definition of creativity, might lead us down rabbit holes with dead-ends sometimes, but in sharing them, we create the possibility for a new way of being. By allowing ourselves to be vulnerable in that moment of uncertainty as to whether it is a good idea, we are being possibilists.
We know from our lived experience that this is possible when there is Psychological Safety within the group. As more Creative Pods are being formed, we are discovering that the potential for creativity is greater than we could ever have imagined. There is indeed a yearning for the space to have Meaningful Conversations with people from a variety of backgrounds.
We have a sense that as we gain greater clarity about the purpose of our work together, gathering groups of people around this collective purpose will lead us to the world that we wish to co-create. As we all become the empowered creative problem-solvers we have the potential to be, we realise that we are not doing it alone. We are empowered as a part of the collective and we are creative together.
