Collective Ontology

We all make sense of the world through our consciousness, one that is define by patterns of concepts that are interconnected in our mind – a Semantic Network.

Friston calls this network a 'generative model', one that uses Bayesian inference to predict that which we expect.

Piaget calls it at Schema, Koestler calls it a Meaning Matrix. From this mental model we form our belief system, our personal ontology.

As we share stories together we begin to create a shared understanding of reality with others, a culture that has often been used to define nation states.

A collective ontology.

Walking into the collective ontology of others reveals new worlds of understanding, opening new doors of creative potential, one that extends beyond that which we now know, that which now defines us.
