The aim is to have wiki controlled by an external web app (such as a map, or slide presentation), and in turn give wiki the ability to control these external apps.

The aim is to have two way communication, so that navigating around the background map and then clicking on nodes changes the wiki page, but equally navigating around wiki can change the background map.

We also want wiki to be able to control external apps like javascript presentations, so that clicking on elements within wiki, or just opening a new page, triggers the app to change.
