Computer Ontologies

A computer ontology is a set of relationships and fields for an entity. The are a form of Real Information. And Endeme Set can glue them to data and make them useful by providing a generic description of each entity in the real world which an Information Program can handle. Ontologies are one of the basic concepts of the Semantic Web.

Not to be confused with the branch of philosophy called Ontology, which actually has the opposite meaning of the word in computer science.
