Courage Found

The evidence is there - schooling can be reimagined - learning can be brought alive. I've sensed it, felt it and seen it.

Picasso said the path to youth takes a lifetime. I've found my youth, and with a wisdom that is building confidence. This newfound courage at this stage of life's journey delights me. I'm not preparing to retire... but to re-fire! It's the rediscovery of the Beginners Mind, a liberation that has come with rediscovering the joy of being a learner rather than striving to be a knower, of being surprised and delighted by great ideas when good ideas collide. When learning comes alive.

The prospect of being part of a movement to collectively re-imagine education also delights. I understand it is not about me. It’s what I can contribute to unleashing the creative potential of others. In my story, I hope I have conveyed that it's been a joy to watch others become Fully Alive, and to be learning collectively from that experience. The story is being told, and I'm excited to be involved with it. Finding the courage to lean into the work of a 'Learning Architect' now inspires me and has become an important part of my story.

Let’s boldly walk together into this unknown, with the conviction that this is the right work to do.
