Encouraged Hypocrisy

Hypocrisy is encouraged by the fact that public communication is relatively easy to recognize and creates certainty about what is being said. The almost neurotic obsession with the PC – in this case not with personal computers, but with political correctness – is the exact opposite and shows that hypocrisy has already become a political necessity. Actions usually remain unclear in their concrete form, in their real motives, and above all in their consequences, and are often subject to contradictory evaluations, especially when judged in Retrospect. If every possible negative assessment were to be taken into account, the repertoire of possible courses of action would be severely limited. In order to leave enough room for maneuver, it is therefore advisable to superimpose a level of morally sound communication and to emphasize that the best intentions are being pursued.
