Epistemic Patterning

We sense an important paradigm as we strive to more deeply understand the fundamental nature of learning, one that highlights the verb, not the noun, of patterns.

Recursive Patterning: where we build order through our cognitive models of predictable causal relationships that sources our projection.

Emergent Patterning: where we walk into the chaos of unknowns with those models, only to be surprised by experience, challenging us to make new meaning from that surprise, that which expands our cognitive model of the world.

Process Patterning: where we develop practices that allow us to continually walk into the chaos the unknown in order to expand our understanding of the world.
