Eurocentric Worldview

While many have gained mightily from the fruit of the Scientific Revolution and Industrialism, we have begun to more deeply appreciate the constricts of the worldview that birthed it. A worldview that justified not only colonialism but also repressive control of others, racism being its most extreme example.

So while great wealth and accomplishment flowed from this worldview, we must also now acknowledge the cost to others and to ourslelves.

This worldview, shaped by the Cartesian Mindset, was premised on the supremacy of individualism, rationalism, and capitalism.

We recognize that in our emerging Creative Economy, new dynamics of forming are been seen and felt, ones focused on the harnessing the power of collective co-creation that embraces a wholeness of self, emotionally and creatively, leveraging shared assets held in common, open-source software being but one example. This worldview is shaped by the Agile Mindset.

We sense that we are in the early days of a transformation of immense proportion – Copernican in scale – that we and our children must prepare for with new skills, processes, and systems.
