I find the metaphor of a The Mother Tree that I referred to in Noosphere and trees to be amazingly powerful. The idea that there are trees that play a special roll to interconnect and guide the sharing of resources within a vast network of underground roots is very potent for how we can think about community development.
Dave, out in Willamina, is such a "mother tree". For the last two years I have watched him build connections of trust. Jenny, in Rosewood, is certainly another such "mother tree". They are both working in vastly different communities, but are aligning and supporting similar creative potential that unleashes communal genius.
Perhaps these "mother trees" resonate at a frequency that aligns other trees. Considering Primal Resonance
