We duplicate an illustration from Timeless Way of Building using Graph plugins and our graph building workflow.
We start by creating an inventory of patterns working from top to bottom of the diagram.
- Half-Hidden Garden - Courtyards Which Live - Garden Growing Wild - Entrance Transition - Terraced Slope - Tree Places - Building Edge - Private Terrace on the Street - Fruit Trees - Greenhouse - Outdoor Room - Sunny Place - Garden Seat - Six-Foot Balcony - Connection to the Earth
Then we create a template we will use making these pages. For this experiment we will have a synopsis and graph leaving lots of room for enlargement.
We call up patterns two at a time. Shift click will add the second subordinate pattern alongside the first. When prompted we'll create pages from the template. Then we drag the flags of each to the graph of the other.
We'll lineup patterns and then render them in larger graphs. See Lineup Viewer and press Beam Up.
This and another extractions from A Pattern Language share several patterns with each other and all of their patterns with the original work. See Patterns Together
