We will consider three aspects of the model, each of which come together to be an object of study.
The Domain Model considers the components of the future physical world imagined. This includes the radios and computers as well as assumptions about radio propagation and the people who want to communicate within it.
The Simulation Engine allows one computer program to do the work of hundreds of cooperating computers while operating in real time or accelerated time allowing many varieties of scenarios to be studied at once.
The Analysis Tools allow us to see what happens from many perspectives. Initially these provided many pages of line printer charts. Later these were replaced with animated 2d workstation graphics. Now, with increased interest in complex system observability we expect to employ 3d rendering in collaborative augmented reality.
