Howard

Howard Senior grew up in a large family of all girls except for him. He became the breadwinner for the family until he went to war. After he and Jane married they moved to Indiana and raised their family.

As a child Howard played a character in a school play. Apparently he played his part well because he was known by the character's name, Pat, ever since.

Children Peter and Ward were born in 1947 and 1949 respectively.
