Learning Spaces

As we reimagine the purpose of schools as places for learning, rather than a holding place for young humans before they become part of the productive workforce, it feels important to wonder whether we actually need a place for learning. Perhaps what we really need is a space. A safe space for learning.

> Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning > Albert Einstein

We notice that when we ask questions, provocative, meaningful, felt questions, a space is created. A space that is alive with anticipation, feeling, thinking. A space in which learning is occurring.

This Emergent Moment surprises and delights us as we are moved to think differently about a deeply felt memory. This movement is not physical, yet is often felt in the body. Moving the body can support the process as we encourage a long walk to allow for the moment to emerge.

Taking a long walk requires space, freedom to use the space and trust that there is an energy within that will speak to us. Walking allows us to find the quiet within and without. Walking requires us to be free of one place and to feel alive with the movement.

In order to become Fully Alive, we recognise that we cannot walk a Solitary Path. This journey of life is meant to be lived with a partner, perhaps different partners at different times, within different spaces. To be recognised and to become realised to our infinite potential.
