The project we are working on involves an integration of parts and communities. It is an ecosystem of distinct projects with the purpose of establishing in practice a new form of dialogue between the sciences, technology and the arts.
The methodology we are building is based around new forms of media that facilitate decentralised constructive discussion. Our timeline is based on having an initial practical demonstration of this process together by the end of the month, working towards a public launch in 2021 (spring).
# Sound Garden
The starting point of the project is to use audio - a live streaming internet radio station, linked to a series of podcasts and backed by a decentralised archive of media that we are calling the Sound Garden Archive.
We are not restricting the media to sound alone, but it is a good way to glue together the different conversations, and to be as inclusive as possible with participation from regions with poor and expensive internet connection.
We use mobile phones and channels such as WhatsApp and other messaging platforms to collect sounds from around the world which artist mix into soundscapes, and the technology links to community and scientific dialogue.
