More recent entries to computer-mediated discourse systems, such as E-Delphi (see below) provide somewhat more structure, but require considerable human intervention for moderation. Even some of the email lists, usenet newsgroups and bulletin boards require a human moderator to filter, edit or summarize if they are to keep productive discourse going.
