Physical Space

The physical space of a classroom is important.

As we move from the industrial paradigm of teaching to a creative one, we recognize important distinctions.

We move away from the fragmentation of thought, the fragmentation of being, toward the wholeness of thought, the wholeness of being.

In this Paradigm Shift, we recognize that how this paradigm is reflected in the physical space of a classroom is important.

For this reason, we move from structured rows to a centering sharing circle, with other desks available for individual and or small group learning.

Here is an example of a classroom setup that can easily switch between individual learning and collective sharing by simply turning chairs:

With these learning circles we can encourage the Deep Listening which integrates both divergent and convergent thinking that allows for collective Creative Amplification.
