Rather, they stem from a historically exceptional vocabulary of the self from the field of the psychology of self-development, which in turn manages a Romantic legacy.
It is only against this background that a quasi-artistic, experimental further development of the self in all its facets, in personal relationships, leisure formats, consumer styles and physical or psychological self-techniques is at stake. The orientation towards the creativity of the self is regularly associated with a striving for Originality, for a distinctiveness of the self.
