As we ponder Tempo Interruptions, questions begin to surface:
* Might it be possible to develop a pattern language that accelerates the discovery process during interruptions?
* Might the practice of reflection in wiki-based journals help engineers find new understanding faster, shortening the time of interruptions?
* Might these journals not only provide a personal artifact - a memex, in a sense - but also valuable insight for others into the mental maps used by individual engineers to understand the system, allowing system wisdom to be generated and shared to help others develop better?
We suspect that mental maps that engineers use for working below the line of representation don’t reveal themselves at times of stasis but, instead, at times of emergence, when they are grappling to understand and reimagine. The Moment of Creative Potential that happens during tempo interruptions.
