Joy depends our our feeling worthy.
We need to feel worthy of love.
We need to feel worthy of belonging.
We need to feel worthy of joy.
In that order. Without love, we can not feel belonging. Without belonging, we cannot feel joy.

To be able to create the potential for joy, we must be intentional about communicating authentic love and belonging. Be that in a classroom or in the workplace. This is the great challenge of teachers and administrators. This is the great challenge of managers.
