Describes an apparatus for testing the reaction time of an individual to light, sound and touch. Most of the reaction machines which are used in connection with the chronoscope are large and cumbersome, and also often cause errors in reaction time. The present apparatus has been modified in order to overcome these difficulties. Details of its construction have been provided. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2016 APA, all rights reserved)

The interactive installation Reaction Machine [1] by Jonas Hielscher and Klaas Jan Mollema plays with the intimate field of tension between the people. Balance of power, personal input and connecting old and new technology are all part of this experience.
