I would recommend that you start with a few paragraphs to describe why you are writing.
Next, add a section break – called a "PageFold" and enter the month and year. Here is how you do that: click on the "+" button on the history bar at the bottom of the page to create a new block. Click on the "PageFold" link (found in the left list). Then type the date, such as "July, 2018", then save the block by clicking "Command (for Mac) / Alt (for PC)- S".
Then name your first topic. You might start out by using the date, to get some practice (which is what I did), but soon you will find it easier to just use the name of the topic you are going to write about.
Here is my journal for reference: Thompson's Journal.
Remember, to create the new page, start by naming the topic with two square brackets at the beginning "[" and two closing ones at the end "]".
As a format, it is a good practice to capitalize your topics names - defining them, in a sense, as proper nouns for concepts that are Ideas Worth Exploring.
After saving the Paragraph Block, click on it to open the new page and create it. Time to write away!
One further suggestion, keep your topics short and focused. When new ideas come up that need to be expanded upon, name that new topic idea with double brackets and keep writing. You can then come back and click on that link to write about that related idea.
This short, focused approach to writing about ideas allows readers the opportunity to explore digressions that are of interest to them. In this way, you are creating a many branching path, not only for your writing, but also for another's reading.
One helpful note, using your arrow keys you can move back and forth between wiki pages. By double-clicking the little color box next to the page title clears the page string, allowing you to have your current page sitting next to your opening welcome page.
