It starts with a commitment. A commitment to write.
Many of us struggle with the thought of writing. Negative voices in our heads undermine us. Walk through them.
Start by starting. I recommend starting with small, daily posts. That's what I did and I found it extremely valuable to get me over the threshold of my self-doubt. Here is my journal as an example: Thompson's Journal
Label the page with the date, create that page, and jot down any moments in the day that had meaning and take a moment to explore why they were meaningful for you.
Challenge yourself to do this daily. Just to get writing.
What you will find is that, over time, you start observing experiences of meaning during the day. Label them and put them on a list - I just use a "to do" app on my phone.
Then, reviewing these ideas in the evening and decide which those experiences you would like to explore more deeply through further reflection.
Over time, you will begin to notice how experiences of meaning become interlinking - that is the emergence of a pattern language. Your pattern language of meaning.
