The original Total Recall revolves around villain Vilos Cohaagen, who controls all the oxygen available on Mars and tries to keep Quaid away from the "artifact." Turns out there's an ancient alien artifact that's been unearthed on the Red Planet and it would spell doom for Cohaagen's mining business. This "tech" (aka McGuffin) turns out to be an instant terraforming device that, when activated, covers the entire fourth rock from the sun with breathable air. It should be noted that Arnold's steroidal hands fit the Martian hand-activation thingy just fine. page
