At our recent Innovate meeting, I shared how I have begun to use "[under construction]" at the top of wiki posts that I have begun but are incomplete.
By starting the post with "under construction", not only can I easily search for all of the posts that I need to work on, it also is a signal to others that my thoughts are incomplete.
I am asking for forgiveness.
It's been liberating.
We were brought up in an educational system that judged us. The thought that we are allowing others to read something that is incomplete and flawed is deeply uncomfortable.
But there is a beauty in the incompleteness. All the threads are not woven together. The flaws are cracks that let light in, perhaps sparking the curiosity of others.
