Wonder Room Experiment

Here is a prototype of a 'wonder room' constructed for an 8th-grade class in Ohio studying the US Bill of Rights this January. The intent of this deployment is to help launch their DiG and to spark initial curiosity in this subject area. In this DiG, the students will be encouraged to find personal relevance and personal meaning from this learning journey, leading to the demo day when their story is shared using a creative artifact they have made.

We are sharing this concept, quickly built with Croquet's Showcase , in the hope that it will inspire their teacher to improve upon this deployment, leveraging the potential of Stigmergic Iteration.

For most of these cards, we are simply linking to outside sources, including videos. Our hope here is that we might mirror the experience of the story/garden model in our experimental Hyperbooks where learners begin to build confidence to follow their curiosity into new unknowns – unknowns in which they experience surprise and then make meaning from that surprise as they cultivate their capacity for Synergistic Thinking.
