This project adopts a strict **distinction-first** stance. We do not begin with elements, nodes, pages, concepts, or contents. We begin only with the operation of **drawing a distinction**. A distinction may be drawn, left undrawn, or re-entered within another distinction. What later appears as “content”, “structure”, or “order” is not assumed but **emerges from the repeated crossing and re-crossing of distinctions**. There is no underlying substrate to which distinctions are applied; the only thing that happens is that distinctions are drawn and observed as being drawn.
