# Wiki Find
We seek for now to distinguish the idea of `searching` - for instance a search of the wider internet - from `finding` - which is a local search fo an index that the wiki-client software prepares.
- Fedwiki has a built in `search` capability we call wiki-find
Wiki-find is fast. It searches through the locally cached wiki-sitemaps that the browser has put into local storage when it comes across new wiki-sites.
